O uso do material como memória. A tela que foi apagada e empresta sua história em forma de texturas ao próximo retrato. O sal, recolhido de diferentes lugares durante viagens que, além de trazer a memória do espaço, suga a água do ambiente e faz um rosto “chorar” criando marcas dia após dia. A física da água que, misturada à tinta, cria um registro da passagem do tempo e do clima. O resgate de retalhos e recortes remanescentes de outros trabalhos que se acumulam e abraçam novos significados, viram vestígios na história de novos seres.

Somos memória porque somos experiências e o que sobra delas. Somos o acúmulo do que o entorno oferece, resquício de instantes.

Using matter as memory. Reused canvases lend their stories to the next portrait in the form of textures. Collected salt from different places in nature adds not only the memory of the place but also reacts with the humidity, sucks water from the air and makes a face “cry” staining a painting day after day. The physics of flowing water which, mixed with paint, creates a register of passing time and the weather. Fragments retrieved from the remains of other works collect different meanings, become traces in the history of new beings.

We are memory because we are experiences and whatever is left of them. We are an accumulation of our surroundings, remnant of instants.
